This is a full-time on-site role at Chartfield Guesthouse located in Kalk Bay, Cape Town. The role involves overseeing daily operations, managing guest inquiries and requests, supervising staff, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This is a hands on role and would require someone who doesn't mind "getting their hands dirty".

Qualifications
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Previous experience in the hospitality or tourism industry (also open to college graduates from the industry)
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in basic computer applications
• Previous experience in NightsBridge, Booking.com, LekkeSlaap, Airbnb etc advantageous
• Availability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Knowledge of guesthouse operations and procedures is a plus

Have you ever wondered about the story behind our two lovely sculptures placed around the guesthouse?

This sculpture is one of Marieke Prinsloo’s limited sculpture series, ‘Walking the Road’.
They previously formed part of a public installation along the Sea Point Promenade.

The body of work pays homage to a little girl who represents a young South African Democracy, in which she reaches out to a dragonfly that represents our dreams of freedom, equality and hope for our nation.

Be sure next time you visit or stay at us to spend some time in the presence of these beautiful works!
