Being in the tourism industry and trying to get visitors or tourist staying with you doesn't feel right at the moment. You do not want to promote your business as everyone should stay home, stay safe... But on the other hand, there are more than 20 kids, that are depending on you to put food on the table... Feeling torn. So, whoever needs to get out of their 4walls for whatever reason, we are here looking after you, following COVID-19 protocols. P. S.: We need you, but we don't want to say it 🤫

Our borders will be open from 01. October and we are ready to welcome you back in our beautiful country. We are still waiting for an 'allowed' country list as well as regulations. We will keep you posted. Our coronavirus figures are looking promising, there is light at the end of this tunnel! Lockdown day 23...we have been very quiet. Yes, sure, we are closed. Send staff home on 20.03 already to keep them safe. All applications for small business relief or tourism relief are dragging... I can't pay my staff anymore and some off them are si gle mothers, only breadwinner in the house. I myself can pay uif and taxes but as a foreigner cant claim anything (will never understand this). I am a woman, but for government i have the wrong skin color to claim from smme funds... Meaning, i now have to retrench my staff in order for them to apply for unemployment fund. What a weird world. I feel helpless. If anyone out there has any idea what else to do, please contact me. I am not sure, if House on the Hill is going to open its doors again. It would be so sad to end the journey like this. Please keep fingers crossed, so we will see each other again at our little guesthouse! And most important: Stay home, stay safe. All the best to everyone out there!
