Hi Everyone
Welcome to 2021! We are open for bookings, find us on airbnb for our rates and any further info. As we stated in a previous post, it is not yet clear which countries can and can't come to SA at the moment due to Covid. We hope, as the year progresses, that we can once again welcome international guests to our little slice of paradise🏖🌍✈🚘

Hi there!
We are open once again! However it is only locals that we are accepting at this point. For internationals it is unclear at this stage as not every nationality is being allowed in under current Covid restrictions. We look forward to welcoming more of our international guests next year✈🌍. As always, wear a mask, sanitize and stay positive👍

Due to the borders of South Africa remaining closed we cannot say for certain when we might be open again. It may happen that we can only open again next year. In the mean time we hope you are all safe and healthy and we will post an update if the situation changes.

This is a review by two of our most recent guests on Airbnb: Kerston and her partner:

"We (pair 41 & 38) had three wonderful days at Bryony & Mark (and of course Floyd, the amiable Labrador). The apartment is just as great as in the photos. The small separate cottage is located behind the main house of the family on a slope (only small disadvantage are the many steps). There is a private entrance to the property. Good: We were allowed to park our rental car safely behind the large electric gate. Bryony and Mark are ideal hosts. They gave us lots of tips for the area and also interesting information about the country. Floyd is a cuddle and we are not the first guests who would have liked to take him home. :-) The beach is fantastic for long walks. There are probably also rides offered in the village. Surfing is also possible here. Baden is rather not recommended. There are seemingly strong currents and the water is very refreshing in November. When we were there, it was also very windy. The property is located just at one end of Chapman's Peak Drive (a beautiful coastal road, which is chargeable each time (around € 3)). We felt very comfortable with Bryony & Mark. We can fully recommend the accommodation (and of course the hosts). The holiday home is perfect for those who want something more natural and quiet and do not want to live directly in the city. The location is ideal for exploring both Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula. Thank you Bryany & Mark. We hope to back one day! "

Our Story

Sea Holly Cottage was one of two cottages owned by my late Grandmother and her two sisters. It was a place they loved to visit where they could relax, have a glass of wine and enjoy each other’s company. When they sadly passed, the cottages came to my father (Mark, the Host) and, although one of the them was demolished, we have lovingly renovated this cottage in order to share our slice of paradise with others.

Sea Holly Cottage is a unit comprising of 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, an open plan kitchen/ dining/sitting area, Private deck and Barbeque space, It has it’s own private entrance and access stairway. It’s a short walk from the beach and a 5 minute drive from nearest shop. With the mountain rising behind it and the beach stretched out in front, Sea Holly Cottage is the perfect base from which to explore Cape Town or a lovely little hideaway to relax and unwind.
