Run Forrests

Run Forrests Running Club With this in mind I wanted to invite friends; family and familiars to join in evening runs during the week.

I have never understood the appeal of sitting in an air-conditioned gym pushing and pulling on machines, especially in the Mother City – all exercise should be done outside against the elements with Cape Town’s beautiful scenery as a backdrop. We will be running Mondays; Wednesdays and Fridays – and plan to meet on Lions Head around 5.30/6pm, these times will move later on in the evenings as summe

r gets closer. My brother and I will be mapping out some routes, between 5km and 8km –we also plan to do some Milnerton and other beach runs, as well as occasional weekend runs, greater distances, for the uber keen (10km-25km). Please feel free to contribute if you have any ideas. The idea is also to create a social group of people who enjoy running and the outdoors and wish to do so in a safe, fun and fitness driven environment. It’s all very informal – join when you want, come when you want, go when you want, no fees, no pressure – just fun, friends, fitness and wonderful views of our incredible city. Hope you guys are ready for tonight! the weather is perfect and the moon shall shine briight on us! Remember to wear proper running shoes/trail running shoes to avoid unwanted slipping and if u have a headlamp bring it too..It gets dark along the final stretch!..See u at 6pm

Good Afternoon!

May is almost upon us, which means its time to get back on the trails. We would like to schedule three runs a week - Mondays; Wednesday and Fridays. First run starting on Wednesday 30 April, meeting at Kloof Nek parking lot @ 6pm, running a 5,4km trail along Lions Head contour path.

Please let us know who is keen to run. This year we would like to have two groups starting at the same time, one slower/medium pace and one group for the keen beans.

This group only works, when you work (out)!
