Comfortable & friendly

I've stayed here for 2 nights. The room is cozy with comfortable bed and they even provide turndown service. Everyone is friendly and helpful and they served very nice breakfast. The hotel is located strategically near to Bo-Kaap, Malay Quarter with beautiful painted houses. Excellent choice

Quirky and delightful alternative to V&A blandness

I've been to Cape Town 3 times now but the latest visit was after a 20 year gap. So instead of my much loved but now very - very - expensive Graceful haunt down on the quayside at V&A, I gave this hotel a chance.What a delight! It's more of a museum/guesthouse than hotel and it's located on the border of the CBD and Bo Kaap. So not only do you experience the original Cape architecture and artefacts in you room, but you see the real Cape Town and experience a slightly edgier city than the touristy V&A area. That said, the V&A is around 30 mins downhill walk and a 75 rand taxi ride back. The red tour bus also stops opposite the Dutch Manor so you can easily get to Table Mountain and Camps Bay. 눇We stayed there for the second time. It is truly amazing. Ilona is such a nice person, and the breakfast she freshly prepares is THE highlight. Fresh fruit, a broad variety of eggs etc. The perfect start for wonderful days in Cape Town.
