We’re excited to share that Jodi Gillespie, Executive Chef at Newmark Hotels & Reserves’ Waterfront Properties, has been elected Chairwoman for SA Chefs (Western Cape). She was selected by a panel of executive chefs from Cape Town’s hospitality scene, followed by her official inauguration at the SA Chefs’ Indaba in Johannesburg in January.

In other exciting news, GINJA Restaurant at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel, under Jodi’s leadership, has been nominated for Best Restaurant in Cape Town at the 2025 South Africa Restaurant Awards.
