Our lovely guests from the UK, Andrew and Betty Sworoski came to Cape Town for a Golf and sightseeing tour this February. This was their first trip to South Africa and Betty says they will definitely be back. Interesting fact about Betty is that she is a Barcelona Olympian from 1992 and now a two handicap golfer.

How fortunate we are to welcome so many wonderful people from all over the world at our Tranquility Guest House. This week we welcomed guests from the US and Switzerland. Always a joy hearing about what is happening in your part of the world and sharing our little world with you, our guests. The girls and I are super excited by a gift of Swiss chocolates pictured here and ready to be shared out.

More pictures of Buffel, the Elephant Seal. We have a a resident sand artist at Fish Hoek beach who captured Buffel really well I thought. The other two photographs were taken by our guest Mark who had to retreat suddenly when Buffels moved forward towards him. In his haste Mark left his shoes behind and Buffel landed right on top of them before coming to a halt. It took at least an hour for Buffel to move to a safe distance before he could retrieve his shoes.

Recently, Fish Hoek beach had an unusual visitor from Marion Island who created a great deal of interest from locals and tourists alike. Buffels, the Elephant Seal came to our shores to moult foregoing food and water during the whole process. Needless to say he was visited frequently by ourselves and our guests to check up on his progress. Mark and Cheryl took the following footage of Buffels for those of you who weren't here to see him. He left Fish Hoek beach in the evening on the 19th February during the Military display at Muizenberg. Perhaps he thought all the fuss was to send him on his way.

"Your breakfasts are legendary!" said our guest at breakfast this morning. That's just what we like to hear.

Lovely moments captured in time at Tranquility Guest House. Guests quickly become family as was the case with this lovely family who live in Mauritius but originally came from France. A surprise guest from the Mountain (a tortoise to us) but a strange and curious creature to Suki, who kept her distance. Precious little visitors all the way from 'down under' exploring and having fun at the fountain.
