#Coronavirus
As a spa and guesthouse we have always upheld the highest standards of hygiene and have been using hand sanitizers as part of our standard protocols for over 9 years. Furthermore, our clients are serviced in areas with a lot of accessible fresh air and without high traffic – usually individual or couples rooms.
With the global pandemic of the COVID-19 virus we have implemented the following additional measures with immediate effect:
🦠Sanitizers have been placed in reception, all bathrooms, guesthouse and spa rooms for the use of clients. These contain 60% alcohol and have been purchased within the last month.
🦠All surfaces are wiped down with Dettol and sanitizer after every client visit (you will see Joyce constantly walking around ensuring this) this includes all furniture and equipment in the rooms.
🦠All drinking glasses are washed carefully under hot water and soap and are then soaked in Miltons overnight before re-use.
🦠All linen and towels are washed with the addition of Stericlean.
🦠Our staff have been trained and are strictly monitored to follow our new hygiene protocols whilst at work as well as while travelling to and from work (these include washing hands for 20 seconds immediately on arrival, applying sanitizer and wearing gloves and masks while travelling, keeping facial distance with clients and others).
🦠All vulnerable staff (those with asthma or underlying health issues) have been given leave to ensure their personal wellbeing.
🦠None of our staff will be taking public transport but will be staying on-site or have their own vehicle and are following strict protocols with regards to travel.
🦠Should you be at risk (recently travelled or been exposed to those who have, have any flu symptoms or a persistent cough) we ask that you postpone your appointments for a minimum of a two week isolation period.
🦠We encourage clients to book their stays for longer periods and to make use of our boardroom facilities for online conference calls to avoid unnecessary meetings and travel. We have also added some “isolation” entertainment for guests including virtual museum tours you can watch on our tablet, Netflix series, sudoku books, and magazines.
🦠We encourage clients to book all their treatments together on the same day to minimise additional travel and contact to high traffic areas - hair, nails, beauty, gifting (vouchers), etc can all be done at Thyme and on the same day to save you unnecessary risk and exposure elsewhere.
🦠We have made our clients a kick-ass immune-boosting raw juice shooter to drink complimentary with every visit (packed with ginger, turmeric, vitamin c, raw honey, apple cider vinegar, cayenne pepper, garlic, cloves and fresh herbs and spices).
🦠We also have additional hand sanitizers for sale at cost price (R25 for 50ml these contain 60% alcohol).
🦠Do have plenty of sleep, drink lots of fluids, practice social distancing and hygiene and stay positive.
