Modern Cosy Family Forest Cottage

Cosy cottage in forest setting. Family friendly and fully equipped. Very private, separate to main house. Wooden deck with stunning mountain views. Close to beach and all amenities. Beautiful spacious garden with braai area, trampoline, swimming pool, jungle gym and hammock to relax and unwind! Inside has modern furnishings with double bunk bed in living area and queen bed in main bedroom. Double sleeper couch and single fold out bed. Clean, modern bathroom and fully equipped kitchen.

The space

Set in a beautiful forest backdrop with stunning mountain views. Main room has a queen size bed and living area has a bunk bed as well as a 3 quarter sleep out couch and single fold out bed. Plenty of cupboard space. The cottage can accommodate 4 or 5 people (ideal for a couple with kids). Swimming pool and braai/barbecue entertainment area set in forest backdrop. Pool is not enclosed and children need to be supervised. Garden is spacious and has a trampoline, jungle gym and hammock. Clean and neat bathroom and modern, fully equipped kitchen. Newly furnished with modern, simple furniture and also has DSTV satellite TV and Wifi. The deck has comfortable wicker chairs to sit and relax with a sundowner and admire the beautiful mountain views and watch the birdlife. You can sometimes hear our resident owls at night time!

Guest access

Guests have access to a beautiful, private and spacious garden, full satellite TV and wifi. Parking is on the street, very safe as we are in a cul-de-sac and quiet family neighbourhood. There is a flight of stairs leading up to the cottage so it's not ideal for elderly folk or disabled.

Interaction with guests

I'm available most of the time and love to share information with my guests about the great places to visit in Cape Town and Hout Bay. I'm also happy to help/assist my guests should they get lost or run into any difficulties or perhaps need some special assistance.

Other things to note

Set in a quiet and very family friendly neighbourhood. We are close to all amenities with about a 5 minute drive to the beach and the main shopping centre and restaurants.

You can explore Cape Town with ease, we are about a 20 minute drive from the City Centre/Waterfront. Our beach and the beautiful Chapmans Peak are close by as well as many of the famous Constantia Vineyards and Kirstenbosch Gardens.

Hout Bay also boasts many fabulous restaurants as well as the Bay Harbour Market.

Located in Wetton/Ottery, close to public transport, shops and autobanks, this home offers free fibre uncapped wifi, equipped kitchen (gas and electricity), laundry facilities, fully equipped rooms with comfortable beds, cupboards, desks and outside space. The home is on the transport route to Claremont. Students who have lived here previously attended UCT, College of Cape Town and CPUT in the city centre. Several return for more than one year. Prices are very good and the home is supervised daily. Travel times to institutions can be long (depending), compensated for by excellent pricing and convenience. Home is best suited to students who do not have classes after 6pm and is conducive to students who are able to live independently. Monthly prices are calculated for 10 months minimum and range from R 2 860 (shared) to R 3380 for economy rooms and are available to male students only, while inside rooms are more expensive and are open to women.
