CAMPING GEAR

Would you use this?

Its called a Camping Cot, but not in the traditional sense as for babies. Its basically a stretcher bed with a tent connected to it.

It folds open like the rooftop tents used by 4x4 campers, which makes it very quick. It also should fold flat like a fordable table size.

I can see the benefits in this:
- Raised from the floor.
- Single or Double sleeper.
- Rain proof.
- Soft stretcher bed as base.

Tech Tips Trick Saturday - Colored Camp Fire

This is very cool, but fire is alway dangerous in any format. PLEASE do not attempt this if you are unsure on how to do this or if you have not made fire before.

The process goes as follows:
Get a few fire logs or large pieces of very dry wood. Next from the list bellow select a coloring agent and dilute it into a bucket of water until you cannot dissolve any more.

Next take your firewood and soak it in the liquid for a good hour. Leave the wood out in the sun to dry before you put it in the fire.

Important:
Use rubber gloves when handling the wet logs. Some of the chemicals may burn your skin when wet.

List of coloring chemicals

Carmine = Lithium Chloride

Red = Strontium Chloride

Orange = Calcium Chloride (a bleaching powder)

Yellow = Sodium Chloride (table salt) or Sodium Carbonate
