Would you use this?
Its called a Camping Cot, but not in the traditional sense as for babies. Its basically a stretcher bed with a tent connected to it.
It folds open like the rooftop tents used by 4x4 campers, which makes it very quick. It also should fold flat like a fordable table size.

Ilanga Resort and caravan park - Banana Beach, KZN.
Ilanga resort is situated on the on the water's edge and offers over a 100 stands to holiday makers. Most stands offer green grass but compromises on shade.

The site offers 36 stands at very reasonable prices.
You have access to shared ablution facilities or opt for one of the 10 stands with private ablutions facilities.
You will be greeted with green grass stands and braai facilities.

Skukuza - Kruger National Park
Skuukuza is the largest rest camp of the Kruger National Park and also acts as the headquarters.
Situated on the southern banks of the Sabie River and grantees sightings of the wildlife in the area. Expect to see hippos, warthogs and one of the big five, the buffalo without having to seek them.
Accommodation include over 80 camping stands, more than 170 round bungalows ( 2 or 4 sleeper) and 20 luxury bungalows.
The rest camp is known to be fully booked well ahead of popular holiday times.
This is an amazing place to rest, see the stars and experience African wildlife in their natural environment.
Kapama Camp - Greater Kruger National Park

Tech Tips Trick Saturday - Colored Camp Fire
This is very cool, but fire is alway dangerous in any format. PLEASE do not attempt this if you are unsure on how to do this or if you have not made fire before.
The process goes as follows:
Get a few fire logs or large pieces of very dry wood. Next from the list bellow select a coloring agent and dilute it into a bucket of water until you cannot dissolve any more.
Next take your firewood and soak it in the liquid for a good hour. Leave the wood out in the sun to dry before you put it in the fire.
Use rubber gloves when handling the wet logs. Some of the chemicals may burn your skin when wet.
List of coloring chemicals
Color = Chemical
Carmine = Lithium Chloride
Red = Strontium Chloride
Orange = Calcium Chloride (a bleaching powder)
Yellow = Sodium Chloride (table salt) or Sodium Carbonate
Yellowish Green = Borax
Green = Copper Sulfate ( from a hardware store ) or Boric Acid (poison)
Blue = Copper Chloride
Violet(smoke) = 3 parts Potassium Sulfate 1 part Potassium Nitrate (saltpeter)
Purple = Potassium Chloride
White = Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom salts)
Jongensfontein Caravan Park
Jongesfontein is a very beautiful, quiet and peaceful campsite that is virtually situated on the sea front. They boast pristine white sand beaches with a Blue Flag accreditation.
The coastile offers great fishing opportunities and rock pools for younger children to play and swim in safely.

Dinokeng Camping - Roodeplaat Dam Pretoria
Dinokeng is a camping and fishing friendly site with a total of 22 stands. 11 of these stands overlook the Roodeplaat dam and makes for an excellent fishing/camping spot.

The Mountain Zebra National Park - Cradock Eastern Cape

The Fanie Botha hiking trail - Mpumalanga
This is claimed to be one of the best trails in the country.
The trail is originally a five day hike but it has options of 2 day and 3 day hikes.
The trail hikes through plantations and later pass the beautiful Lone Creek Falls.
Petervale Guest Farm - Ceres Western Cape
The farm is perfectly situated on the foot of the Skurweberg Mountains.
With just a 140km drive from Cape Town you can make this an unforgettable getaway.

Tech Tips Trick Saturday
If you love camp fires but do not like keeping the camp fire going, try this self feeding camping trick. Simply line up fire wood on a slope and allow the wood to roll down into the fire as the burnt wood gives way. Be careful that all your wood supply does not catch fire.
Hogsback - Amatola Mountains
This is one of South Africa's fairytale places. Its commonly referenced to as the fictional middle earth of Tolkien. Its not a well know route through the Eastern Cape and its a one road town. The surrounding area is majestic and the forest is mesmerizing.
If you wish to travel the backroads of South Africa this is a must stay over.

The route has two options, a shorter 3km walk and a longer 9km trail. The start and finish is at the Krisjan-se-Nek picnic site.

Tech Tips Trick Saturday
This is a fun, easy and useful way to keep the "in a emergency" tape close without taking up space. The use of "duck tape" is endless and the when you are in an emergency creativity takes over. A non intrusive way is to unroll the tape onto you water bottle of containers, keeping it close with a low profile.

Strandloper Hiking trail - East Londen
This is probably one of the most relaxed and beautiful hiking trails in South Africa. Its a 3 day and 4 night hike. Your bags can be send along the road by car and accommodation can be any B+B as you are never far from town. Start in Kei Mouth and end in Gonubie.
Caravan Park, Jeffreys Bay
This is one of South African's favorites. J-Bay has two campsites to choose from. The more formal Caravan Park and Kabeljous popular for its more informal and youthful camping.
Both sites are situated walking distance from almost all attractions. They offer uninterrupted ocean views. Very popular surfing accommodation.

The Magoebaskloof Hiking Trail - Tzaneen in the Limpopo Province.
This truly is one of the most beautiful hiking trails in South Africa. There are 5 day and 2 day routes winding through lush forest and giant towering trees.
The area is also rich in water falls and rock pools, although it can be a bit cold.
The route easily accommodates large groups.
Verlatenkloof 4x4 Guest Farm
The farm is situated just outside of Sutherland. They offer a wide variety of of accommodation especially for groups between 6 and 10 people. They also have a camping site for about 10 vehicles. They also have white winters, you do not have to travel overseas to experience some snow. But dress warm for the average 5 degrees temperature.
Perfectly situated for exploring the surrounding Sutherland are.
Keurbooms lagoon camp site - Plettenberg bay
Perfectly situated just outside of Plettenberg Bay on the banks of the Keurbooms River. This campsite offers Caravan and Tented stand going up to the water's edge.
If you do some exploring you will find yourself doing one of the following: surfing, swimming, scuba-diving, walking, cycling, boating, horse-riding, fishing and golf on a world renowned golf coarse.
Ou Skip Caravan Park - Melkbosstrand
This is one of the best situated caravan parks in and around Cape Town. Its walking distance from the beach front with spectacular Table Mountain views. 30km from City Centre its close to everything you need.
Msinsi - Albert Falls Dam, Umgeni River, Pietermaritzburg
Perfectly situated on the banks of the Albert Falls Dam. You have a verity of accommodation to choose from ranging from tent, caravans, chalets and cottages. Each accommodation option has its own unique view, from overlooking the dam or the bordering Albert Falls Game Reserve.
