Lions, elephants, buffalo… and soon, our new camp, AfriCamps Dinokeng, right in the middle of it all! 🐘🦁🤎

Opening this December, it will be our very first camp in Gauteng! 🏕️

Now, if you haven't heard of Dinokeng before, here's why we're so excited about it!

The name Dinokeng comes from the Setswana and Sepedi words meaning “Place of Rivers”, inspired by the region's waterways that form part of the catchment areas feeding the mighty Olifants and Limpopo rivers. 🌿

Dinokeng Game Reserve is also one of South Africa's incredible conservation success stories! What started as a shared vision between more than 170 families and individuals has grown into a 21,000-hectare wildlife haven, home to the Big 5, giraffes, zebras, hyenas and so much more! 🦒

And the best part? Just 40 minutes from Pretoria, you can explore this malaria-free reserve at your own pace, with over 140 km of self-drive routes, scenic viewpoints and picnic spots along the way.

We can't wait to share this special part of South Africa with you!

Happy Friday from a busy AfriCamps team! 🚚🤎 Our second truck is packed and on its way to AfriCamps Dinokeng! 🏕

We've been ordering all sorts of goodies for our new camp and our latest Takealot delivery gave us a good laugh! 😂📦

Turns out, when the Takealot warehouse is just down the road, deliveries happen a little differently… on foot! 😂 We definitely weren't expecting to see the team at Takealot walking down the road with our parcels after receiving the “out for delivery” email! 👀
