Our little brocante (curated antique) shop inside Yellow Aloe creates an intimate, highly visual experience, blending a cosy hospitality space with a treasure hunt.

Each delightful treasure has its own story.

If you are a visitor to Clanwilliam, you are most welcome to visit us, to come in and enjoy a browse and a coffee or a pot of freshly brewed tea in front of our warm and toasty fire whilst you ponder over a special piece which has caught your eye.

You will know when you have arrived at Yellow Aloe Guesthouse in Clanwilliam when you see our beautifully styled gates which are imposing and grand in both stature and design.

The elements within the design have been styled from different fabulous gates in France, and hand crafted by craftsmen in Cape Town. They have been incorporated in many happy wedding photographs and celebrations. We love them, so any excuse to photograph them when they are sitting pretty is always taken.

Yellow Aloe is situated within easy walking distance of the well known Flower Church in Main Road, Clanwilliam. In fact, quite across the road from Yellow Aloe.

Make a note in your diary of the dates for the 2026 annual Clanwilliam Wild Flower Show.

28th August until 6th September 2026

Our little Scatty Cat has found a warm place in the sun to laze and - keep an eye on the comings and goings at Yellow Aloe.

Our sweet little rescue, who unbeknown to us, was born in our large compost heap. Her Mum had found an undisturbed, safe hidey hole to have her babies and only brought them out to show them off when they were a few weeks old.

Pretty. Winter colours in our gardens.

Our plants are carefully chosen to ensure an all year round supply of food for our insects - which bring much joy as we watch them industriously moving from one flower to the next gathering the pollen and nectar.
