Kromrivier, bordering the Cederberg Wilderness Area, with its chalets and camping sites, is intended primarily for those seeking rest and quiet. It forms a convenient base for scenic drives and hikes to the many natural features of the Cederberg Conservancy. The campsite border the banks of the Kromrivier. There are unpolluted streams and a dam for swimming. There are 5 mountain bike trails, horse riding and a child-friendly farmyard.

Cederberg Park Kromrivier UPDATE:

We will be reopening from Friday the 22nd of May 2026.

Please note that all hiking routes at Cederberg Park are CLOSED, including all Cape Nature hiking routes, including Stadsaal Caves and Truitjieskraal.

The only route to reach us will be via Ceres, Uitkyk Pass will remain closed for the unforeseeable future.

(Kromrivier Cederberg UPDATE)

Cederberg Park is currently closed and unfortunately not accessible due to access roads being flooded, paired with severe erosion damage.

We will do a follow up post once it is safe to travel to us again. We do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Please also note that we currently have no internet access but will respond to all enquiries once connectivity has been restored.
