Heritage Day opens a 12-day school break this year, 24 September to 5 October, and our Leap Adventures team has the gorge swing, rock climbing, archery and quad bikes ready for whenever you land it in the calendar.

More reviews mention the rabbits than almost anything else here.🐇

They wander the grounds freely , and with fewer guests around this month, there's more of the lawn, the pool deck and the quiet to go round, rabbits included. Browse the specials tab on our website to see what's available.

Golden Gate Highlands National Park is eight minutes from Kiara Lodge, and August's quieter season means longer stops at the lookout points and no queue behind you.
A lekker week for a slow hike, and an even slower coffee in Clarens after.
