Our Tata and the elders of our community✨💛🛖 As an outsider joining the Xhosa community you go through various meetings and celebrations with the community to get a feel of you as a person. Once accepted the Chief of the village becomes your Tata (father) and the community your siblings.
We all help one another where we can and are always available for a helping hand. 🙏
They deal with their own societal problems between themselves without getting outsiders involved most of the time.
I think we as human kind can learn a thing or two from the Xhosa people ✨

It feels as though it fell right out of the sky
Where fairies and witches and pixies fly.
It was by chance and luck that we got to come by,
On a road trip bumping along we found the Real Kei.
What a mystical and magical place to stay!
We watched the stars, listened to the dancing trees, while in the hammock we lay.
Inside a white little hut, the squares and circles of glass caught bottles of sunlight.
It’s impossible to feel anything but peaceful here, try as you might.
In amongst the paw paw’s, Bougainvilla and wild banana—
Perched on a wicker chair, swimming in sunshine you feel calmer and calmer.
Fresh lettuce and basil to pick for your meal,
Or some tomatoes to grab in abundance- any dish they will seal.
This garden is a plant’s happy paradise,
If you want to experience this haven then take my advice:
Seek out simplicity and places that allow you to do so,
Allow the pace of the community around to settle you down slow.
Simmer in the water warmed and wood fired,
Overlooking the forest and valley, this is the Real Kei!
