Tuesday afternoon took The Little School down to the beach at Sugar Bay Camp in Zinkwazi Beach, KwaZulu-Natal.

Campers spent the afternoon sea swimming, bodyboarding, kayaking, SUP, beach soccer, surfing, raft building, crab hunting and exploring the shoreline.

Just another school camp afternoon making the most of the KZN North Coast, near Ballito and north of Durban.

Tuesday afternoon with Khanyisile Primary School at Sugar Bay Camp in Zinkwazi Beach, KwaZulu-Natal.

The afternoon was all about choice, with campers taking on pool swims, skating, fabric painting, the climbing wall, paintball, DJing, friendship bracelets and indoor soccer.

A great mix of action, creativity and time with friends at our school camp on the KZN North Coast, near Ballito and north of Durban.

The Little School had a full day of adventure at Sugar Bay Camp in Zinkwazi Beach, KwaZulu-Natal.

The morning brought pool swims, skating, climbing, friendship bracelets, drumming, basketball, paintball, archery and netball before they headed down to the beach for sea swimming, bodyboarding, kayaking, SUP, surfing, raft building and crab hunting.
Next up is Minute To Win It in the Main Hall.

A proper school camp experience on the KZN North Coast, near Ballito and north of Durban, with another busy day at Sugar Bay in the books.

Khanyisile Primary School packed plenty into their day at Sugar Bay Camp in Zinkwazi Beach, KwaZulu-Natal.

Their time on the KZN North Coast included sea swimming, bodyboarding, kayaking, SUP, snorkeling, surfing and beach activities, followed by pool swims, skating, climbing, paintball, DJing, friendship bracelets and more back at camp.
They’ll round it all off with Minute To Win It tonight.

25 years of Sugar Bay Camp.

Since 2001, thousands of campers have passed through our gates in Zinkwazi Beach, making friends, trying new things and creating the kind of camp memories that tend to stick around long after the holiday ends.

During Sweet & Sour Week 2026, we finally got to celebrate that milestone properly with our campers, counselors and the people who have helped shape Sugar Bay over the years.

We’ve put together a look back at our 25th birthday celebration, including two videos from the week and some of the moments that made it so special.

15 camps later, and it’s special to hear what Sugar Bay has come to mean to PK.

He first arrived in 2021, a little younger, a little unsure, with his cousins by his side. Since then, he’s come back year after year, growing up at camp, making new friends and building memories along the way.

The certificate for 15 camps is a wonderful milestone, but hearing him talk about the friendships, the freedom of being away from devices and the feeling of truly experiencing Sugar Bay means even more.

Watching campers grow up with us is one of the greatest privileges of what we do.

Congratulations, PK. We can’t wait for camp number 16. 💙

Twenty-five years of Sugar Bay camp, and what a day to celebrate it. 🎉

Today was about more than a birthday. It was about the thousands of campers who have grown up with Sugar Bay, the friendships that started here, the families who trusted us with their children, and the staff who have poured so much heart into making camp what it is.

To every parent, camper, counselor, staff member, school and supporter who has been part of our journey since 2001, thank you. You helped build the memories, traditions and spirit that still make Sugar Bay feel so special today.

Celebrating 25 years at Sugar Bay Camp in Zinkwazi Beach, on the KZN North Coast, surrounded by the people and the kind of joy that made us fall in love with camp in the first place.

Here’s to the next chapter.

Twenty-five years of Sugar Bay. 🎉

What started as a vision has grown into generations of campers, lifelong friendships, unforgettable holidays and a place that so many children have come to call their second home.

Today, during Sweet & Sour Week, we celebrated this historic milestone at Sugar Bay Camp in Zinkwazi Beach with our owners, Zoë and Nic Ellender, and their daughter Tao joining the campers for the occasion. Together, we marked 25 years of memories and unveiled a brand-new hot tub pool for the next chapter of Sugar Bay.

The buildings change, the activities grow and new traditions begin, but the heart of Sugar Bay remains the same: friendship, belonging, adventure and the kind of memories that stay with you long after camp ends.

Here’s to 25 years on the KZN North Coast, and to all the campers, families and staff who have been part of the story.

Party Night is one of those Sugar Bay moments that says everything without needing much explaining. 💛

Campers who arrived as strangers are now dancing, laughing and making the kind of friendships that somehow feel years old after just a few days together.

That’s the magic of camp. The activities are fun, but it’s the people, the shared memories and the feeling of belonging that stay with you long after the week is over.
