"To all our incredible friends and family, supporters, previous guests, neighbors, and the amazing Winelands Firefighters,
Words cannot express the depth of gratitude Anneke and I feel towards each and every one of you. Over the past 10 days, your unwavering support, tireless efforts, and selfless acts of bravery have truly touched our hearts.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for standing by our side, fighting alongside us, and sending messages of encouragement and prayers during this challenging time. It's been truly humbling to witness so many random acts of kindness and generosity.
We want to give all the glory to our Father above for sparing our campsite and vineyards from the flames. While the fire may have come very close and also left its mark on parts of the trail, it also presents us with an opportunity to give it a makeover and unveil hidden gems that were previously overgrown. We can't wait to show our future campers all the beautiful spots and pools that await them.
As a token of our appreciation, we wish you all a lifetime supply of marshmallows for those fireside chats! Your support has been a beacon of hope for us, and we are forever grateful.
