What a process 😮‍💨

No truer statement than - ‘everything has a price’, and for the beauty that goes hand in hand with living in the cloud belt, 2100ft above sea-level, it is nagging damp 🥴

You cannot neglect even the smallest detail when laying the ground work, and a heartfelt shoutout to my developer Neil Jacobsohn of Jkwana Management Engineering when it comes to solving the issues that have plagued the many bespoke finishes at lodge 802 😅

The month of May saw the lifting of a 125 square meter sprung floor in the second story dance studio, treating the surface extensively before relaying the flooring 🤩

Not only did Neil attend to this, but he realized the staggered curtaining vision, starting with a 5m drop in the centre - the perfect finish to a job well done 💖

Could not have done this without him 🙏🏻

A throwback to the IC:EX workshop in NYC at the end of 2025 🎭

The International Contemporary Ensemble:x is a program that engages aspiring young dancers in the world of professional contemporary dance.
​
Designed primarily for dancers aged 14 to 19, the program focuses on giving students direct experience with the processes and standards of a professional dance company. The reflective training, rehearsal, and performance schedule, supports IC:EX’s quest for artistic development, international exposure, and the opportunity to work closely with established voices in the world of contemporary dance.

IC:EX workshops are hosted in locations around the world, including NYC, Amsterdam, Torino, Genoa, Tokyo, TLV, Bucharest and more, spotlighting iconic works by globally acclaimed choreographers.
The IC:EX cast then travels to global destinations for the showcasing of world renowned contemporary pieces at iconic events including YAGP galas in Lincoln Center, the Nervi Ballet and Music Festival in Italy, the TLV Opera House, The Straz Center and Teatro Sociale di Como, as well as festivals such as The Lugano Music and Dance Festival.

Craig’s Place receiving some TLC, by instruction from its new owner, Angelique Harris 💖

Thankyou to Jkwana Management Engineering for the time consuming adjustments completed in the past 5 weeks, namely shortening of roof trusses, re waterproofing, plastering and painting of the main gulley between the house and studio, installing additional gutters, lifting and realigning the main deck 🤩

The extra care given to installing bespoke soft finishes, personalizing the environment, was also much appreciated. Living remotely, it is a true blessing having a developer that is willing to return to the property to address various hiccups as the house settles, since it’s completion in March 2023 ✨

Introducing Angelique Harris as the proud new owner of Craig’s Place ✨

Due to the change of ownership, Craig’s Place will no longer be available for rental, continuing as a private retreat for High Perfomance Dancers and Athletes 💫

Wishing Angelique continued success with her venture, that has proven to be a fruitful experience during 2024 & 2025 💖

We extend our gratitude to Highland Gate for providing the opportunity to acknowledge and commend the team responsible for the meticulous maintenance of the gardens and domestic service at 815 Harris House and 802 Craig's Place since 2019 🙏🏻

The team's dedication has ensured that both gardens complement the surrounding landscape, featuring an abundance of flowering plants with limited lawn, as per the brief's requirements 🌺
