Greystone Lodge is part of the Greater Lakenvlei Protected Environment (GLPE) in Mpumalanga โ€” a remarkable conservation landscape on the Steenkampsberg plateau protecting some of the regionโ€™s precious grasslands and wetlands.

Weโ€™re thrilled to share that the GLPE has now been expanded by more than 7,000 hectares, incorporating an additional 32 properties. This brings even more of this beautiful and ecologically important landscape under conservation protection. ๐ŸŒฑ

Since its establishment in 2017, the GLPE has brought landowners, conservation organisations and government agencies together to protect biodiversity and create a future where people and nature can thrive side by side.

A special thank you to BirdLife South Africa, Endangered Wildlife Trust, Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency and the GLPE Landowners Association, as well as all the landowners and partners who have contributed to this important conservation journey. ๐Ÿ‘
