It’s been a very chicken-filled weekend at Milkwood Bend! 🐣🐔🥚

We hatched our very first chick, welcomed another little group of broilers, and—after much impatient waiting—our first hens finally started laying!

Small milestones, but very exciting ones as we slowly grow this little farm dream of ours. 🤍🌿

It still feels very much like winter on the coast today… 🥶

But here and there, little signs of spring are starting to shine through. 🌸🌿

A few flowers, a little more colour, slightly longer days — tiny reminders that a new season is on its way.

July reminded us that not every season is about being busy. Sometimes the quieter months are where the biggest ideas are born.

We took our annual family break, returned rested, and came home full of excitement for what’s ahead at Milkwood Bend.

New coffee. New farm experiences. Chickens. Bee hives. More local products. More reasons to slow down and enjoy life on the farm.
