Previously known as Lagoon Valley Holiday Resort, the resort was owned by the late Evan Royden-Turner, who sadly passed away in 2009. His sons Shane & Dean wishes to continue to build on their dad's legacy and make Nature's Rest a favourite destination for everyone who visits it. The name was changed to Nature's Rest for a new and fresh approach along with great changes and upgrades done over the
past 5 years. The peace and tranquillity that the resort has to offer has become a favourite among pensioners who love camping, resulting in a special monthly offer, exclusive to them, outside peak season, as gratitude for their loyal support. With over 109 bird species recorded, it is a popular and enjoyed destination by birders. Other small wild life, like bush dykers, dassies, otters, snapping turtle or vervet monkeys may also be observed occasionally, peaking from the indigenous vegetation around the valley. Families can enjoy a safe environment inside the resort with 24 hour access control and security. The resort also has an equipped conference facility, including projector and LED TV, and is suitable for small to medium conferences. 20 equipped self-catering units(rondawels) can each accommodate a family of 5 persons. 35 grassed caravan sites on the riverbank offer options from fully or semi shaded to sunny. A disc operated Laundromat and scullery is available for use. Laundry services are also offered. Guests can enjoy the day at the swimming pool with kiddies pool, take a ride out on the lagoon with pedal boats or canoes, play table tennis, volley ball or Pool and kids can also enjoy the jungle gym and trampoline.
