Welcome to Kamberg Mountain Shadows
Previously known as Mountain Shadows, the property was purchased in early 2017, it rests in the Kamberg Valley along Highmoor road, bordering on the Little Mooi River, just a few kilometres short of the Highmoor Reserve.
The cottages all have fireplaces to keep you warm in the cool evenings and all are self-catering, fitted out with the necessary equipment to prepare and serve your own food. Beds and linen are all fresh and new which together with the redecoration has made these cottages quite special. Verandas are tastefully laid out with privacy and comfort in mind. A barbeque is provided for your use and wood or charcoal is available through reception.
Our new Shadows Lodge is a cluster of independent rooms fronting onto a beautiful covered wooden deck the rooms each have 2 single beds. The room has all the usual conveniences to make your stay comfortable including tea/coffee making facilities, en suite bathroom, cupboards and seating area. This area is designed for groups and families looking to have a place to put their heads down after a long day of exploring, cycling or fishing in our awesome Kamberg area.
Fat Harry’s restaurant and pub gives you the opportunity to spend an hour or two chatting to neighbours over a cold beer and has DSTV, SUPERsport, movie and music channels to keep you entertained. The owners of Kamberg Mountain Shadows have a lot of experience after developing an island resort on the east coast of Zanzibar in early 2001. On the beach they built a pub and restaurant called Fat Harry's which soon became one of the islands popular watering holes. Now years later, looking for a name for their new establishment, a touch of nostalgia crept in. Although it is now located in a different scenery the values that applied then for good food, in a relaxing environment are an ideal take on for our valley. The restaurant services our in house residents as well as groups and families travelling in the area.
