Booyzynkraal Bush Camp

Camping is in a large cleared area on the bank of the Olifants River. This truly tranquil spot is ideal for larger groups and 4x4 club gatherings.

Activities from the river camp include game viewing, hiking, mountain biking, bird watching and catch & release fishing. A guided 4x4 trail (Grade 3-5) is available and must be booked in advance at R250.00 per vehicle.

The river camp is ONLY accessible by 4x4 with high ground clearance with diff locks, especially if towing an offroad trailer or caravan. The camp has no electricity, there are flush toilets and donkey supplied with borehole water. Two bags of wood will be provided per vehicle, per night. More wood is available, please order if needed together with your booking.

Both Hippo and Crocodiles have been spotted in the river, so unfortunately no swimming allowed. Please refrain from collecting wood from the veld, the dead trees are part of natures beauty.

Our bush camps are ideal for the more adventurous overlander. Reaching these sights are the first part of the adventure, and the glorious sunsets your first reward!

These camp sites are only accessible by 4x4 with high ground clearance, low range and diff locks. Due to extremely rocky tracks, offroad trailers & caravans are not allowed here.

Sites are limited to three vehicles each, and are spaced well apart from one another to afford privacy and total solitude. These sites have no electricity, and basic ablutions with cold showers are serviced by a borehole.

Two bags of wood will be provided per vehicle, per night. More wood is available, please order if needed together with your booking. Please refrain from collecting wood from the veld, the dead trees are part of natures beauty.
