The winters in the Berg are so harsh, the rivers so low, but 2 weeks ago the Kamberg had a bit of sleet, and the new green shoots are appearing and blossom is popping out everywhere. Looking forward to some snow and rain. Our visits here are always appreciated and so enjoyed.

The drive to the Kamberg is overall less bumpy as the potholed road from Rosetta is graded and prepped for tarring. A mammoth task but long over due.
The alternative route via the Lotheni Road from Nottingham Road is longer but in great condition as the gravel route known as Mpofana Road is well graded.

So Skye, the Springbok, was hand reared at Kamdun, and now lives at Qambathi Mountain Lodge, where she interacts with a herd of Springboks, but still spends a lot of time with the horses and folk at Qambathi. This week Skye had a baby. It is such a beautiful story.
