The months of April and May in Fish Hoek offer cooler day temperatures ranging between the mid to lower twenties. Most days are lightly breezy or even windless making the sunrises and sunsets over the bay spectacular. Pandemonium and excitement today on Fish Hoek beach as a huge 3m Bronze Whaler Shark gets entangled in the fisherman’s nets. The fisherman managed to free the shark and drag it back to sea. Beautiful , fresh Skipjack fish sold for R50 each right on the beach.

Off The Grid 177, Luxury Guesthouse

Off The Grid 177 Private, Luxury Guesthouse, formerly known as the Fish Hoek Bed and Breakfast, is located at 37, 1st Avenue, Fish Hoek in Cape Town and the owner remains Kevin Zinn.

Expect the very same luxury rooms/self catering units and self catering houses and facilities - only that now it offers accommodation only. No breakfasts and other meals are served. There are four rooms each with private bathrooms in the main house, one self catering studio and two self catering houses. In total we can accommodate up to 16 guests.

Whatever you please we will do our very best to make your stay in Cape Town one never to forget.

This is our flagship room and fit for a king and queen. With a soft Safari theme and decor throughout there are beautiful, hand-made wooden sculptures, paintings and metal artwork. The Cemcrete floor and accompanying pebbles compliments the finishing touches. The room has a king bed, a separate lounge and sitting area, a separate bathroom, a private outdoor wooden-decked patio and an outside shower. The bathroom has a free-standing bath, double walk-in showers, a double basin and an outside shower.
