Apparently, there’s more to Franschhoek than w**e.🍷 (Who knew?)😉
We’ve been doing a little digging into the place we call home — and discovered elephants, ancient perfume bottles, a theatre with only 40 seats and a few stories hiding in places we’ve driven past far too many times.
Our new Maison d’Ail blog is up — a slightly curious look at Franschhoek as we head into the new season.
And perhaps that’s our favourite way to travel: don’t just visit somewhere. Get to know it.
Come for the w**e, the food and those mountains.
Stay long enough to discover the bits you weren’t expecting.
And when you’re done exploring?
Come home to Maison d’Ail.

And if Franschhoek is whispering your name this summer, we’d love to have you stay. 🤍
Go out. Get curious. Come home.
I live in Franschhoek.I live in Franschhoek. (Yes, for a whole month now — but I’m claiming it.) And apparently, I don’t know it nearly as well as I thought.
