Location
Genadendal is one hour and 40 minutes from Cape Town and can be used a central base to visit all the neighbouring towns including Greyton (only 5km away), Caledon, Hermanus (an hour away) Bredasdorp, Struisbaai, L’Agulhas and Riviersonderend. • The house sleeps seven people – one double bed, two single beds and three additional mattresses.
• The main bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and a dresser with a large mirror.
• The second bedroom has two single beds, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
• There is a fully stocked kitchen – big fridge, stove, microwave, kettle, pots, pans, cutlery and crockery.
• The house has a large living room, perfect for family bonding time, with ample sitting space and a dining table and chairs. There is a TV with Open View DSTV (satellite TV).
• There is a separate toilet and bathroom, with a large bathtub and no shower.
• There is a large veranda for quiet afternoons.
• It has a garden and a small yard.
• There is no WiFi or LTE coverage at the moment. 4G coverage is limited, so perfect for those wanting to get away from it all as well as for parents who want to reduce their kids’ screen time!

• The Genadendal Library has internet access and an adjacent internet café for those who need connection! Things to do in Genadendal:
• Genadendal is steeped in history and was the first mission station in southern
Africa. Visit the Moravian Church, the Church Square and surrounds.
• Behold the oldest and first musical instruments, books, tools and household items from South Africa when you visit the Genadendal Mission Museum.
• The Genadendal Handweavers is also based in the Church Square. It’s an initiative launched by The Kraal Gallery, who recognise the value of unique hand-woven art forms and the effect that it can have in the lives of individuals, particularly the local women.
• Hike through the mountains. Whether you have a few hours or two days, there’s a trail for you. The Genadendal Hiking Trail, for example, is a beautiful circular hike that winds through the Riviersonderend Conservation Area, or take a two-day hiking trip over the Riviersonderend Mountains and down into the Robertson Valley on the other side.
• Take a short drive to Greyton, where there is a Saturday Market, hiking and biking tours and the Greyton Nature Reserve, where the Boesmanskloof Trail begins.
• Use the town as a base for self-drive visits. Price:
