It begins with a chance meeting in Mallorca, a boat restored on weekends, and a quiet plan to build something of our own. Then a first visit to Cape Town changed everything. We found Apricot Gardens, packed our lives into a single shipping container, and on 1 November 2023, we began again โ€” above Gordon's Bay, where the mountain meets the sea.

Twenty-five years of hospitality led to this โ€” a home where every guest is welcomed like family, and where the dream we built together becomes a place for you to slow down.

Johanna's journey has taken her across the world, from Switzerland to Abu Dhabi, Russia and Dubai. But it was meeting Tom in Mallorca that opened the door to their next adventure together.

That journey brought them to Cape Townโ€”where they now welcome guests with genuine warmth, thoughtful hospitality and a heartfelt sense of home.
