We’ve been back in the Netherlands for a little while now, enjoying the Dutch summer, but it’s such a great feeling knowing that Far Far Away Guesthouse is in the very best hands. 🌿✨

A huge thank you to our incredible team for their dedication, care, and warm hospitality every single day. Seeing our guests continue to enjoy memorable stays while we’re away gives us complete peace of mind.

A new chapter at Far Far Away guesthouse!

All our lives are changing every day, as new beginnings find their way… And so, with great excitement, we introduce our brand-new (or rather beautifully old) pop-up atelier shop in the heart of the Karoo — Graaff-Reinet 🤍 We are currently unpacking a HUGE variety of beautiful treasures — from indoor plants 🌿 to body & bath luxuries 🛁, home décor & accessories 🕯️, art 🎨, and locally made jams & preserves 🍓 Come and discover our little shop, tucked away in the courtyard of Far Far Away Guesthouse in Bourke street. Opening Thursday morning for the wonderful Stoep Tasting 2026! We can’t wait to welcome you through our doors. See you then!

The Garden Room at Far Far Away has its own little world.
Step outside and the garden is right there. Morning light coming through, birds doing their thing, nobody needing anything from you. It is the kind of room you check into and immediately stop looking at your phone.

Graaff-Reinet is not a passing-through town. It never was.
Stay at Far Far Away and use it as your base. Drive to the Valley of Desolation before the day heats up. Take the hour north to Nieu Bethesda, walk through the Owl House, sit under the pepper trees at the Sneeuberg Brewery with a cheese platter and a craft ale, and be back in time for the sunset from our garden.

Start a morning at Maria's Coffee roastery on Somerset Street. Spend an afternoon at Karoo Origins, the brand new fossil centre that is already being compared to international museums. Walk the historic streets of South Africa's fourth-oldest town.
