We offers awareness tourism that is a brand new concept for discerning guests that would like to learn more about conservation.

In South Africa’s Limpopo Province there is a magical Private wildlife reserve where the animals own the land and humans are merely the custodians. Here rescued wildlife can live their lives and raise their young in perfect safety.

Situated in the heart of this amazing reserve is the SanWild Safari Lodge. Here you will find so much more than just a wildlife experience. Awareness tourism is a brand new concept for the discerning guests that would like to learn more about modern day conservation and the daily challenges threatening to push more and more endangered species over the edge as poaching continues to spread across the African continent like a wildfire.

Successful wildlife rescues and rehabilitation was instrumental to repopulate this 6400 acre private wildlife reserve and species found in the protected refuge include: Impala, Kudu, Blue Wildebeest, Red Hartebeest, Waterbuck, Common and Mountain Reedbuck, Grey Duiker, Nyala, Giraffe, Burchell’s Zebras, Steenbok, Sharpe’s Grysbok, Klipspringer and all of the Big Five.

Some very elusive and rare creatures like Pangolin and Aardvark have also chosen of their own accord to make this protected reserve their home. Wild leopard and cheetahs roam freely and a pack of rescued African Wild Dogs will be introduced shortly.
