JakkalsAsem Private Bush Camp is located on the North-Eastern side of the Dinokeng Nature Reserve, between the Reserve and Rust de Winter Dam, approximately 70km North of Pretoria. Dinokeng means “a place of rivers” and the reserve offers a rich abundance of wildlife; it is a birders paradise and is Gauteng’s only free-roaming Big Five reserve. The accommodation is rustic, yet tasteful. The Bush Camp has two units, a “Rondavel” with an on suite outside bathroom and a “Squaredavel” with a communal bathroom. Each unit can accommodate four guests in a Queen size bed and two single bunk beds. The Bush Camp also has four permanent tents. Each tent can accommodate two guests. The Fish Eagle and Kingfisher tents are close by to one another, perfect for parents to have their children close by. The Nightjar tent is named after a nocturnal bird which can be heard all year around.The Woodpecker tent is positioned in a secluded area of the camp. In total the Bush Camp can accommodate 16 guests. The Bush Camp has a fully equipped Lapa with a small kitchenette, bar fridge and outdoor braai area. The “Bunker House” situated in close proximity to the Lapa has a Fridge/Freezer, Microwave oven, Ice machine and washing machine for guests to make use of.
