Sarah fell deeply in love with a married man. Every time they met, he promised:
"I'm only staying for the children. One day I'll divorce my wife, and we'll be together forever."
Believing every word, Sarah ended her relationship with a good, honest man who truly loved her.
Months turned into years.
The married man never left his wife.
Whenever Sarah asked, there was always another excuse:
"Please be patient."
"It's not the right time."
"My family needs me."
One day Sarah saw him celebrating his 20th wedding anniversary with the same wife he had promised to leave.
She finally realized she had sacrificed a faithful partner for a promise that was never meant to be kept.
She was left alone, while the married man returned home to his family.
Lesson: Never build your future on someone else's broken promises. If a relationship begins with betrayal, it often ends with heartbreak.
