Across Africa, carnivores are losing the space, prey and safe passage they need to survive.

For Lions, the threat cuts even deeper. They are also being targeted for illegal wildlife trade, adding pressure to a species already fighting for its future. Wild Dogs and Cheetahs face the same shrinking, fragmented landscapes.

The Endangered Wildlife Trust works to protect Africa’s carnivores through science, field action and partnerships that support coexistence where it matters most.
