We share many things: sunrises, Magalies River Valley sky, special celebrations, a sparkling wine toast, but 𝗪𝗘 𝗗𝗢 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗢𝗥 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗦 with anyone.

We have become aware that prospective guests are being told that another hot air balloon company is situated at, or operates from, the premises of Bill Harrop's "Original" Balloon Safaris.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗲.

Bill Harrop's "Original" Balloon Safaris does not share its premises, launch site or Clubhouse Pavilion with any other hot air balloon operator (real or fake).

If anyone tells you otherwise, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗱.

Before making a payment or confirming a booking, please ensure you know exactly who you are booking with and where your experience will begin.

For 45 years, Bill Harrop's "Original" Balloon Safaris has welcomed guests to its own private launch site in the Magalies River Valley.

If you are ever uncertain, contact us directly. We are always happy to verify your booking and answer any questions.

The Hartbeespoort Dam wall will be closed to traffic for two weeks from Monday, 11 May 2026. The road will remain open on Sundays.
The closure is due to maintenance work. The dam wall will be closed from 07:00 on Monday, 11 May, until 16:00 on Saturday, 16 May, and again from 07:00 on Monday, 18 May, until 16:00 on Saturday, 23 May 2026.
Motorists are requested to use alternative routes during these periods.
