These little guys 🐾🤎 — Hermanus’ tiny rock legends.

Dassies may look small and sweet, but they’re actually the elephant’s closest living relative! You’ll often spot them sunbathing on the cliffs, keeping watch over the coastline like miniature guardians of the rocks.

We were lucky enough to spot a Bryde’s whale today — one of Hermanus’ incredible local residents 🐋

Unlike the seasonal Southern Rights, Bryde’s whales can be seen here throughout the year. They’re sleek, fast swimmers and are often spotted feeding close to shore, sometimes even darting through bait balls in dramatic bursts of energy.

There’s something so special about knowing that these magnificent giants call our coastline home. Hermanus truly never disappoints 💙
