Self catering unit available from 18 - 27 Dec. The Sunbird Suite is a comfortable self catering unit at Braeview Guesthouse near the New Harbour in Hermanus 150 metres from the sea. The unit sleeps 6 to 8 persons and is fully equipped. The patio with barbeque facilities leads to a beautiful garden where one can relax and plan for the next days' exciting events. Some of the popular activities close to Braeview include sunset cruises, hiking the cliff path, sea kayaking, swimming in the sea or Fick's tidal pool, to mention but a few. Our busiest month of the year is August, or shall I rather say it used to be ..... until the Covid lockdown struck us. Well, the whales are here, totally oblivious of what is going on ashore. We've had a bumper long weekend and business seems to be picking up ..... we're all waiting for the President's next announcement which will hopefully be positive for the travel industry. The video shows what a normal breakfast was like in August for many years .... Italians visiting to see the whales and singing along with me ...... happy days! Cheers! Fanie de Jager
