Stanford Culinary 29 Sept- 02 Oct 2022 is now LIVE. Please join our celebration of the spirit of Stanford Culinary in our food gardens, in wine cellars, restaurants, in our homes and on our farms. This inaugural Stanford Culinary celebrating the UNESCO city of gastronomy award for the Overstrand will showcase our wealth of local produce. We offer demonstrations in sustainable living, organic gardening, cheesemaking and home cooking, fermenting and vinegar making using local fare. Come dine with a local, when locals will open their homes to share their traditional family fare and stories. Beekeeping is our theme of this year’s event, and there will be a beekeeping workshop and venues will be tweaking their menus to showcase our indigenous fynbos honey as well as tastings of gin and vermouth distilled with indigenous flora on our program.
