WOW! We honestly can't quite believe it! ❤️

When we opened the doors of **MBIZI lagoon house** to our very first guests in March 2026, we never imagined that just seven months later, we would be celebrating **20 guest reviews – every single one with the highest possible overall rating!** ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

And there's more: our little piece of paradise on South Africa's Whale Coast has been almost continuously booked ever since. With only a few short gaps remaining until the end of April 2027, we are absolutely overwhelmed by the response! 🥹

But here's the part we love most…

Our MBIZI story actually started with a house we weren't even sure we liked! We had been looking for land to build our dream home – until we discovered the breathtaking Bot River Lagoon, the mountains and the beautiful wild horses of Fisherhaven. 🐎💙

We fell in love with the *place* first. And then we turned the house into the home we had always dreamed of.

Today, sharing that dream with guests from around the world – and reading how much they love it – means more to us than we can put into words.

We’ve been giving our website a little refresh over the past few weeks – and one of the things we loved working on most was our personal guide to some of our favourite places and experiences around the Whale Coast. 💙

Some mornings begin differently.

Just the call of an African Fish Eagle echoing across the lagoon, a cup of coffee on the terrace, and sometimes... a family of Cape Spurfowl quietly wandering across the deck.
