I was surprised to find this praying mantis and the ootheca,(new word I have learnt😁) she was producing, attached to my favourite T-shirt when I brought in the washing. Apparently the female produces the ootheca in autumn and the little guys hatch when the temperatures warm up again. 🍁 The T-shirt is going to have an icy winter! 🍁

I see the ootheca is a little damaged. Do you think it will still manage to do the work of protecting the eggs?
