Nestled in the heart of Hluhluwe, Khangela Private Game Lodge offers three private chalets featuring air conditioning, en suite bathrooms, outdoor shower, a main lodge and a deck overlooking the surrounding bushveld. You get exclusive use of 3 luxury private air conditioned double cottages with inside/outside showers, private decks looking onto the waterhole and large bathtub with shutters opening

up onto the bush. The main entertainment lodge is also included which is fully air conditioned, has an open plan kitchen, dining room with seating for 12, inside/outside bar, lounge with large screen TV and full dstv, all with sliding doors that open up onto the deck with sparkling pool that overlooks the waterhole where the animals come to drink. There is also a fire pit under the stars which is perfect for winding down with a few drinks in the evenings. The park has no large predators, and is therefore ideal for walks and birding. It has giraffe, wildebeest, nyala, warthog, impala, zebra, duiker, kudu etc. I assure you, it truly is a very special place!

The best parts are hard to photograph

You can photograph the pool.
You can photograph the wildlife.
You can photograph the chalets, the waterhole and the view.

But it is harder to photograph the feeling of peace in the morning.
The sound of the bush when everyone else has gone to bed.
That moment when wildlife wanders past and you realise there is nowhere else you need to be.

It was created as a place where families could come together, slow down and experience the bush in their own way

Since Khangela became part of our family in 2012, there have been plenty of changes, revamps, paintbrushes, plans and memories made along the way.

But one thing has stayed the same.

We want guests to walk through the door, put their bags down and immediately feel...

“We can relax now.”

And every time another family chooses Khangela for their own memories, it becomes another little part of our story too. ❤️

Sitting on the deck, something cold in hand, the weekend stretching out ahead of you… and giraffes casually wandering past. 🌿

These beautiful visitors were spotted right from the deck at Khangela Private Game Lodge, near the watering hole just beyond the lodge.

When you stay within Kuleni Game Park, you don’t always have to go searching for wildlife.

Sometimes, the bush comes to you.

No traffic. No rushing. No weekend schedules.

Just slow mornings, peaceful afternoons and the possibility of looking up from your chair to find a giraffe wandering by. 🦒✨
