A FAMILY AFFAIR... We've given our two-bedroom, two-bathroom family suite a wonderful, bright makeover, making a family safari at Baobab Ridge even more appealing. With a lovely lounge area, a master en-suite bedroom and a second, twin en-suite bedroom that's ideal for kids, there's also a fold-out single bed available for a third child if needed.

It takes an aerial shot to show how Baobab Ridge is literally in the middle of the action here in the Klaserie, being tucked away in one of the most breathtaking wilderness areas in Africa - the Greater Kruger National Park. WHO SAYS LIONS DON'T CLIMB? Lions and trees don't normally go together but in this case this youngster decided a handy branch was the place to be! Lions can climb, they just lack the grace and litheness of leopards, being heavier and a lot more clumsy, making scaling near vertical trunks almost impossible for them.

WATER BABIES... Elephants love water, and not just for drinking as they love bathing in it too! We're now officially in the dry season, which will last until the first rains of spring fall, hopefully around October, so water is currently the most precious resource alongside food. This means you'll see a steady flow of wildlife to every available water source, from the waterhole in front of our pool deck to the various dams around us.

ANOTHER AMAZING SIGHTING... We've been blessed of late with some more fabulous pangolin sightings. As winter takes hold and the nights get chilly, these usually nocturnal mammals tend to risk the daylight hours in search of warmth, foraging for the ants and termites that make up their diet.
