Leopardess N’weti has been extremely active over the past month on the plains east of Eagle Owl. Expertly navigating between the Mayambula and Riverpride who have also frequented the area, she has continuously gravitated back to tucked away formation of rocks which could indicate a possible den site.

Eagle Owl Camp has long been intertwined with the lives of our resident leopards, who regularly follow the Machaton River course on which the camp is built. This past week, the N’yeleti female was spotted resting in the branches of a Marula tree just north of camp, having successfully stashed an impala she had brought down. It made for truly magnificent viewing.
