Finding a wild white lion is the ultimate prize for even the most seasoned safari goers, and we just experienced this magic firsthand at Scops Rest. This tiny cub is one of only four confirmed wild white lions currently living in the entire greater Kruger ecosystem. Because the leucistic trait relies on a highly recessive gene, both parents must carry the marker for a white cub to be born, making their appearance an incredibly rare genetic anomaly.
