| The conservancy |
The conservancy currently consists of 5800 hectares consisting of numerous individual farms thereby providing abundant habitat for the wildlife. The conservancy is also located in th
e malaria free Eastern Cape which is also a relatively disease free area since it is based in the hardy Karoo. Klipplaatsdrift Safaris, has over 20 species of antelope on the conservancy including animals such as Cape Buffalo, Sable Antelope, Golden Wildebeest, Eland, Copper Springbuck, Lechwe along with numerous other species and plains game.
| The Main Lodge |
The main lodge consist of an airy open plan fully equipped kitchen, dinning room, lounge and bar which leads you out onto a covered patio next to the boma that overlooks the Vlekpoort river. You will find a build in braai in the dining room area which can seat up to 12 people. The lounge has a slow combustion fireplace which is just perfect for our cold winter months. One can also sit in the boma area where you will find an outdoor braai and bonfires can be enjoyed under the African skies while sipping on a glass of Vino.
| The Chalets |
There are four chalets which consist of 2 bedrooms each with a shared bathroom. Each room is made up with 2 single beds which can be converted to a king-size bed on request. A Camping cot or extra mattress is also available for the little ones on request. Our bedding and bath sheets are 100% Luxury Egyptian cotton which will make your stay just extra comfortable. Each chalet has an open plan kitchenette and lounge which leads you to a covered stoep with a build in braai next to the Vlekpoort river. Each chalet is tucked away underneath the beautiful Accacia thorn trees too give you privacy and more of the real outdoor living feel. All guests are welcome to make use of the main lodge where ice and firewood is available for your use. The main lodge and chalets have WiFi also available for working travelers.
