Surrounded by the mountain ranges of Hout Bay is an exciting new guesthouse, Hout & About.
Newly renovated and run by Thomas and Alice van Alphen, Hout & About consists of seven double bedrooms and one family room - all ensuite, a tranquil pool with sun loungers, a modern kitchen which opens up into the sitting room and a sun drenched terrace overlooking the bay.
Just a 20 minute car ride from a buzzing Cape Town city centre, Hout & About provides an intimate and bespoke service for couples, families and corporate guests alike, inspired by the owners shared careers as Chef and Stewardess on some of the world’s most prestigious super yachts.
Guests can look forward to admiring unique art collected from around the world, which adorns the interior walls of the guesthouse reflecting our passion for travel and also a log fire to heat the communal areas in colder months. On sunnier days visitors can sit out on the terrace, sipping on a G&T or cold crafted beer, brewed at our friend’s distillery, whilst taking in a glorious sunset over the bay, setting the mountain ranges alight.
