Just a couple of days in J-Bay because you’d quite like a couple of days in J-Bay.

Somewhere different to wake up. A beach walk that doesn’t need to count as exercise. Enough time to unpack, even if you didn’t bring much.

Said while already putting a bag in the preferred bedroom.
Choosing rooms is the first unofficial activity of any group holiday. There’s the quick inspection, the subtle lobbying, and the person who claims they’re easygoing but has very clearly made a decision.

At Surfstar’s Tree House, both bedrooms come with a four-poster bed. That should help negotiations.

You counted the beds. Did you count the seats around the table?

It’s an easy detail to overlook when booking a holiday. Until breakfast turns into a two-hour conversation, someone brings out the cards, and dinner becomes the evening’s entire plan.
The table is where you hear what everyone got up to. Where tomorrow’s plans get debated. Where someone tells the same story again-and somehow it’s still funny.

Surfstar’s Pool House, Tree House and Garden House can be booked in combination, subject to availability - giving friends and families a way to holiday together with separate spaces to return to.

Meet for morning coffee. Make plans for the beach. Go your own way for a few hours. Pick up the conversation later.

This is the Eastern Cape advantage: waves before breakfast, elephants by afternoon.

Addo Elephant National Park is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from Surfstar-close enough to turn a J-Bay stay into the kind of trip that gives you both coast and bush.

Start the day watching the lines roll through at Supertubes. End it on a game drive, surrounded by elephants and wide-open Eastern Cape landscapes.

J-Bay may be what puts Surfstar on your map. Addo is a very good reason to stay another night.
