It is with great pleasure to announce that Gardenia Boutique Hotel has been approved to assist in the support of Essential Services Workers by opening up of our establishment from 01 June 2020.

We are officially opening our doors to Government, the private sector, and to persons who have a valid CIPC certificate confirming that their business is an essential service or permitted industry and has a permit to travel, will be able to book a room with us.

Rates are inclusive of Bed & Breakfast, housekeeping daily , Uncapped High speed WiFi and the usual warm and friendly hospitality that you are used to:

Additional services available include:
• Dinner - which is available on request - our kitchen and dining area will be social distancing compliant, with enhanced food and hygiene safety protocols
• Guest Laundry Services

We would like to reiterate that we as a Boutique Hotel are fully compliant with the Disaster management act, Government regulations and W.H.O guidelines. We are currently in possession of a CIPC certificate as well as a letter from the Ministry of Tourism allowing us to proceed with our operations.

Guests can be assured that the safety of themselves and of our staff is our priority at the moment by implementing extensive COVID-19 protocols

1. What documents are required for check in?

Guests will have to provide a copy of the following documents on check in:
• Copy of CIPC certificate indicating that the company they work for is an essential service.
• Travel permit as per the disaster management act
• Valid form of identification

Furthermore in compliance with the disaster management act guests will be required to:

• Fill in and signing of a health and travel questionnaire
• Have temperature scanned and read on a daily basis

2. What health and safety protocols have been implemented?

• All staff members have been provided with PPE equipment that is up to standard according to W.H.O
• All staff members have received training specifically focusing on COVID-19 preventative measures and hygiene protocols.
• All staff members have been placed in accommodation that it is less than 1km away from Gardenia Boutique Hotel in order to minimise the risk of contracting the virus through the use of public transport.
• Increased sanitising and disinfecting practises.
• Regular disinfection of exposed surfaces such as door handles, card terminals and buttons with anti-bacterial liquids.
• Common areas have been adjusted in order to be compliant with social distancing.
