Yesterday, one of our guests cycled all the way to Skilpad and back! 🚴‍♂️🌿

After the adventure, he and his wife decided there was only one way to cool down… a quick dip in our fountain! 😂💦

When all the campsites are full… ⛺

“More julle, ons het ’n plekkie gekry!” 😂

All the campsites were full, so these happy campers simply made a plan , setting up behind the dining hall, right on the veranda and safely out of the wind.

And the best part? They were perfectly happy! 😄 They slept lekker, stayed out of the wind, and woke up ready for another day of adventure.

Sometimes you don’t need the perfect campsite… just a little creativity and a good sense of humour! ❤️😂

11 months on the road, countless kilometres behind them, and one incredible journey still unfolding! 🌍🚗

Our guests travelled all the way from Holland, exploring and experiencing the beauty of Southern Africa along the way. After 11 months of adventure, their journey will soon take them to Cape Town, where they’ll spend another two weeks before finally heading back home to Holland. 🇳🇱❤️

We’re so happy that Kroon Lodge could be a little part of their incredible adventure, a place to rest, recharge and enjoy the journey along the way. 🏡

Now this is what hospitality is all about! 🏉💚

With the rugby on and only our luxury room offering a television, the Kroon Lodge team quickly made a plan. We rearranged the furniture, brought in extra chairs and invited all our guests to watch the match together.

Just like that, our luxury room became a cosy rugby lounge filled with cheers, laughter and good company!

We will be doing it again next weekend for the Springboks versus the All Blacks, exclusively for our in-house guests. 🇿🇦🇳🇿

It is a cold and rainy day in Kamieskroon, with 2 mm already received and more still on the way.

After a relatively dry winter, this rain is very welcome, and it brings new hope for more beautiful flowers in the weeks ahead. 🌼

Together, they have traveled through 55 countries, with 26 of them explored in this very same camper - beautifully driven by Anna. Their latest stop? Kroon Lodge, before continuing their adventure to Namibia.
