Coelacanth Sea & River Lodge, with direct river access and private jetty, offers three fully equipped, self-catering units in a lush garden setting on the banks of the Chelumna River, close to where the historic Coelacanth fish was re-discovered in 1938.

1. The Latimer - river facing our main house:
- accommodates 8-10 people
- boasts a range of amenities, including a pool, bar, darts, snooker table, smart tv, fireplace, kitchen, outside braai, large deck, and dining room,
- ONLY R2000 for the house, per night!

2. Alternatively, choose Marjories Meadow - our 2-sleeper accommodation
- for ONLY R800 per couple, per night!
- featuring a kitchennette, bathroom, queen bed, mini lounge with smart tv and outside braai area.

3. Captains Cabin, our 4-sleeper accommodation, is perfect for fishermen
- ONLY R300 per person per night,
- including 2 x single beds, top and bottom bunk bed, a kitchen, open-plan lounge, bathroom, and outside braai.

Launch your boat from our slipway and moor at the jetty for easy and total saftey.

3 Fully furnished and well equipped self-catering units awaits your discovery. The Lodge boasts a private jetty and adjacent slipway for easy and safe river access and hassle-free fishing.
Paddle upriver to explore the ever changing landscape along the riverbanks, or hike up to the cliffsides to take in the majestic views of the Chalumna valley.
A mere 10 min boat ride leads to a glorious beach and wide river mouth with direct ocean access. Tucked behind a bending hillside, lies hidden a wetland and incredible birdlife, all surrounded by crystal clear turquise blue waters and an abundance of rock pools that change shape and size with every advancing tide.

Be it endless long walks along the beach, fishing from the rocks, shoreline or river, or simply relaxing on the jetty or meandering through the lush gardens - this is just what you need for that much deserved break from the ordinary.
