What a fantastic day it was at the Battlefield / Slagveld of Magersfontein Golfdag on Saturday, 13 December 2025! Once again, the Boere emerged victorious, beating the English by 23 points. With the top five Betterball scores counting, the Boere secured 215 points to the English’s 192.

A big thank you to Battlefield Distillery for the sponsorship and wet hole, the Voetpadklub for their contribution to their members, and to everyone who played and supported this special day at Magersfontein Memorial Golf Club.

We can’t wait to do it all again next year — the battle continues!

Huge congratulations to Charmaine van Niekerk.
We are proud of her fantastic performance in Kimberley on Saturday at the Cleopatra Day. Winning the individual title and finishing as the overall ladies winner with an impressive 41 points is truly outstanding.

A big well done as well to Jasper and Charmaine on their superb BBS win with 49 points!

What an outstanding weekend of golf at the Magersfontein Open 2025! The tournament delivered exceptional competition and a fantastic atmosphere throughout.

After the final round, Andre van Zyl finished first on the gross leaderboard with an outstanding total of 204 (-12). However, as Andre is a professional golfer, he was not eligible for the amateur title.

👉 We are therefore proud to officially announce that:

Magersfontein Battlefield – 13 December 2025

The battle is on again!
Join us for our annual Battlefield Event, where teams are made up of 2 Boere and 2 English.
Played in Betterball format, with the top 5 team scores determining the winner of the day!

Entry fee: R450 pp – Spitbraai included.
Families are welcome to join for the braai afterwards at R200 per person.

🎺 A bagpiper will officially announce tee-off at 11:00.

This is always one of the most exciting and memorable days on our golfing calendar – don’t miss out!
